It’s here, it’s here! My final release of 2016, The Princess Dilemma. This historical romance is particularly close to my heart because it had a multi-year gestation. It is alternative history in a way, because the hero is the son of Queen Victoria’s father. He really did have illegitimate children many years older than his legitimate daughter, who became queen of England in 1837, but not my Edward FitzPrince.

This is a great book to read in anticipation of the new PBS show, Victoria, which is about the same exact time period as my book, with many of the same historical characters! Victoria Preview

The Princess Dilemma Blurb:

England, 1837: In the game of kings, there can be only one winner, but a second chance at love is worth more than any throne…

As a British army colonel, Edward FitzPrince deals with dangerous secrets every day. When his mother dies and he learns he may have a claim to the British throne, he quickly finds himself out of his depths. The Scottish-born soldier discovers life in London and political maneuvering foreign indeed.

One woman can help him, German Princess Charlotte von Scharnburg, with whom he had a secret romance more than a decade before, his long-lost wife. As the best friend and lady-in-waiting to his half-sister, Queen Victoria, who has just ascended the throne of England, Charlotte is now his natural enemy.

Edward is determined to have his birthright. Charlotte must ensure her family’s survival. They will be each other’s greatest ally, or tear each other apart.

That Gold in Laguna by Heather Hiestand #newrelease #romance

that-gold-in-laguna-coverYeah! Book 2 in my Charisma Series, The Ericksons, is finally out. I wrote it back in the late winter, but held sexy treasure hunter Thor’s story all this time to be part of the mini-launch in the Laguna Beach series, part of Kindle Worlds. Buy Here

I really, really loved writing these stories, which came to me after a Curse of Oak Island television binge. The show has just started it’s fourth season, and I’m book two into my series!

Blurb:

Treasure hunter Thor Erickson stars in California Gold, a reality TV show. An outdoors buff, he wants to dig for buried gems in the wilderness, not in a rich girl’s Laguna Beach backyard.

Rachel McHughes is an art expert looking for a new challenge. She wants her wealthy father to sell his property so she can leave her job curating the family art collection and take a fulfilling museum position.

The California Gold producers insist the hunt for missing Hollywood Golden Age jewels is good television. The show must go on despite friction between the cast and the McHughes family.

Thor and Rachel can’t avoid each other, or the incredible, sexy chemistry they generate. The treasure they discover might not be gold, but each other.

A series about Queen Victoria is taking the Downtown Abbey slot in January. This is a great opportunity to learn about 1837 and get ready for the show!

Christmas Delights is my holiday house party novel, a standalone part of the Victorian Redcakes series. It has a 4.3 Star rating on Amazon, and is available across all etailers. Get it for $.99 this November!

The sweetest gift is the hardest to unwrap. . .

Lady Victoria Allen-Hill never dreamed she’d be a widow at twenty-one—let alone a virgin. Her father insists that she attend a matchmaking house party in the snow-covered seaside town of Pevensey in hopes she’ll find a suitable husband. But for Victoria, it’s an opportunity to indulge in a passionate affair—and the handsome inventor she meets at the Christmas Eve masquerade ball may be just the man for the job. . .

Lewis Noble is the cousin of London’s famed Redcake sisters, so it almost stands to reason that he’s just as irresistible as one of their sugar-iced pastries. Lewis catches the eye of every woman at the party—but Victoria is the only one who catches his. He won’t be tied down in her father’s business, but watching other men court her amid a flurry of engagements ignites a jealousy he’s never felt before. A dose of honesty may be just the thing to mend their broken hearts—for many holidays to come. . .
