As she stands before the gilded doors of The Grand Russe Hotel, Alecia Loudon is poised on the threshold of a profound awakening. It is the Roaring Twenties, and London is buzzing with opportunities for adventure . . . and indiscretion. The young personal secretary knows nothing of the ways of men, but a chance meeting with the hotel’s handsome night watchman sets her imagination afire.
Ivan Salter has noticed the quiet Englishwoman and wonders what delicate beauty might be lurking behind Alecia’s plain clothes. As the handsome Russian draws Alecia further into the hotel’s luxurious world, he introduces her to fine food, cool jazz, and forbidden assignations. Their dalliance is tested, however, by a surprising link between Ivan’s family history and Alecia’s bosses. Tangled up in international intrigue, the lovers must decide if their sparkling new romance is worth the cost . . .

When exiled royalty and espionage combine, expect a romance as bold as the 1920s . . .
Olga Novikov is a princess without a throne. Her fiancé and her family slain in the revolution, she flees Russia and finds herself working as the head of housekeeping at London’s luxurious Grand Russe Hotel. It’s a far cry from the glamour of her former life, but she’s grateful for the job—until a guest forces her to question where her loyalty lies. The charming nobleman challenges her at every turn—and arouses dreams of romance she thought she’d abandoned forever . . .
Douglas “Glass” Childers is living a double life. On the surface, he’s the indolent Viscount Walling, but in truth he’s an intelligence agent searching for a Bolshevik weapons master. I’m excited to tell you that I’m releasing a title in the new Wild Irish Kindle World. Haven’t been introduced to Kindle Worlds yet? These are multi-author projects inspired by one author’s wonderful stories. Here’s a little about this series:
The Wild Irish series by Mari Carr has made the Collins’ clan one of the most beloved families in the romance world. The seven siblings all found love while working in the family pub in Baltimore and living in the spacious apartment above. Now their children are grown and finding their own happy endings. Because the family is so large, so rambunctious, and so much fun, they have lots of friends—and maybe even a few strangers passing through the pub for a pint—who are looking for love as well. It’s time to GO WILD.
Mari has said some super nice things about my novella, Wild Image!
“Just read it last week and I couldn’t put the darn thing down. It’s got a bit of everything–scandal, spicy sex scenes, despicable villains, humor and a hero and heroine you can’t help but root for.”

BLURB for Wild Image:
Blond, bubbly, and single-minded Kasee Kean is a reality TV star, holding onto her celebrity status by the tips of her manicured fingers. Dion Hamilton is a professional photographer in search of a subject. When the two meet outside of Pat’s Irish Pub one sultry spring night, sparks fly and careers are re-ignited.
Losing her mind on camera during her divorce cost Kasee her featured spot on the Ladies of Baltimore television show, but she has a plan to regain her post. A romance manufactured for the tabloids will put her back on top. But what happens when she wants her made-for-television romance with sexy Dion to be real?
Dion isn’t sure what kind of person Kasee is underneath her perfect exterior, and all parts of his life aren’t camera-ready. Still, he can see her vulnerability, and she does have a way of punching excitement into his life. Is this a relationship he should keep turning into cash, or is there a chance she’s the one?

He’s a CIA agent. She’s a bartender at her family’s pub. That’s no big deal, unless her brother is a dangerous criminal.
Elias Nader is on temporary assignment in Washington State, helping the FBI build a database of Americans suspected of chatting with foreign terrorists. When he sees pretty young Angela Stan, he’s thunderstruck, in lust, and in love. Instantly. It doesn’t matter who she is…until it does.
But when a baby is on board, a hardened spy has to take care of his lady, even if that means a Wedding with a Baby Bump.
I Wanna By Loved By You is finally here, and my first review for it was so incredibly kind and spectacular that I have to share a snippet with you! I hope everyone enjoys Sadie’s adventure as much as this reviewer did.
“I WANNA BE LOVED BY YOU is exceptionally well researched, and the author’s unparalleled attention to detail takes us back in time… I WANNA BE LOVED BY YOU is very fast-paced, and exciting; it was easy to identify with Sadie, as I had the feeling of living the spy story as she did. The romance and the suspense are intrinsically linked, and very deftly so; the romance is quite complicated, but very realistic, and the spy story is fantastic, again because of those period details…The characters are superbly crafted, the writing is impeccable, the era’s popular expressions and cultural references are invariably accurate; the dialogues are flawless, and the author possesses a perfect grasp of the era’s social and moral codes.”
For a young woman swept into international adventure, romance can’t be far behind…
The 1920s are in full swing when Sadie Loudon leaves her grandfather’s stodgy vicarage, and she dreams of the glamour and excitement she’s seen on the silver screen. But before she even begins work at the storied Grand Russe Hotel, she is ushered into London’s glittering nightlife by a handsome young businessman intent on introducing her to the pleasures available to a Bright Young Thing. Is it a fleeting romance…or something even more intriguing?
Les Drake is on the lookout for Bolsheviks when he encounters sweet, sexy Sadie. A British Secret Intelligence agent, Les has more experience with the seedy underside of the city than with innocent chambermaids, but he can’t deny that Sadie tempts him. Using her as part of his cover seems like a brilliant plan until the danger of his assignment threatens what has suddenly become a love he can’t bear to lose…
I’m gearing up for the Valentine’s Day release! http://heatherhiestand.com/books/i-wanna-be-loved-by-you/ Sadie and Les are going to knock your socks off!
BOOK CLUB READING GUIDE for I Wanna Be Loved By You by Heather Hiestand
Spies feature prominently in I Wanna Be Loved By You. Who is your favorite spy character in fiction?
- Given that the hero in this book, Les Drake, is a spy, he lies continuously to the heroine. Do you think someone who works undercover can ever be a reliable romantic partner?
- Sadie is a madcap heroine who does things like go on a several-hour train ride with a man she barely knows for a date. If you are really feeling the spark with a man, how much risk would you take to go on a date with him?
- Sadie was orphaned as a pre-teen and raised by elderly grandparents. How would this affect your outlook on life?
- Sadie has spent her life living with her older sister. All of a sudden, when she’s nineteen, her older sister moves away, leaving her without her best friend and support system. What life changes might you make under those circumstances?
- Sadie is surprised to hear her date’s accent changing as he interacts with other people. Would this be a red flag for you? What other red flags might make you want to end a date?
- Sadie flings caution to the wind to some degree because it’s her birthday and she’s lonely. What kind of birthday present would you consider acceptable from a date you don’t know very well?
- What kind of behavior do you like best from a work supervisor? This book is set in 1925 and I imagined a fairly paternalistic relationship between Sadie and her boss, Peter Eyre. How do you think work relationships have changed in the past ninety years?

It’s here, it’s here! My final release of 2016, The Princess Dilemma. This historical romance is particularly close to my heart because it had a multi-year gestation. It is alternative history in a way, because the hero is the son of Queen Victoria’s father. He really did have illegitimate children many years older than his legitimate daughter, who became queen of England in 1837, but not my Edward FitzPrince.
This is a great book to read in anticipation of the new PBS show, Victoria, which is about the same exact time period as my book, with many of the same historical characters! Victoria Preview
The Princess Dilemma Blurb:

Edward is determined to have his birthright. Charlotte must ensure her family’s survival. They will be each other’s greatest ally, or tear each other apart.
